April 2009 - Christiana Care Health Systems signed a nine-year agreement with Iberdola Renewables to purchase 40 million kWh of electricity annually. Christiana Care is one of the largest health care providers in the mid-Atlantic region and is the largest private employer in Delaware.

The agreement will supply between 30 and 40 per cent of Christiana Care’s annual electricity needs, and will be supplied by Iberdrola Renewables’ Locust Ridge II wind power project in eastern Pennsylvania.
