January 2002 - Exelon Power Team announced that it will market the output of a 65-MW wind project to be built in West Virginia to commercial and residential customers in Pennsylvania and other mid-Atlantic states. The Backbone Mountain wind facility will be interconnected with Allegheny Power System and the power will be integrated with the Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland (PJM) electric control area. Exelon and Community Energy Inc., a green power marketer based in Wayne, PA are jointly marketing the output of this and other regional wind projects with a combined capacity of 144 MW.

May 2001 - Exelon Power Team, the power marketing division of Exelon Generation Co. and an affiliate of PECO Energy, announced a 20-year agreement to purchase the output of a new 50-megawatt wind project to be located southeast of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Along with Community Energy Inc., a renewable energy marketing company based in Wayne, PA, Exelon plans to market the output of the wind project to retail customers in the state. Once completed, the Moosic Mountain project will be the largest single wind energy facility in the eastern United States. Along with agreements signed earlier this year, the new agreement brings Exelon Power Team's wind marketing portfolio to 74 megawatts.
