Electricity Advisory Committee (EAC) Technology Development Electricity Policy Coordination & Implementation DOE Grid Tech Team Energy Assurance Cybersecurity
Provides advice to the U.S. Department of Energy in implementing the Energy Policy Act of 2005, executing the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, and modernizing the nation's electricity delivery infrastructure. OE supports a portfolio of technology development and deployment programs that will modernize our Nation's electric delivery system. OE is laying the framework for a modern electricity system by contributing to the development and implementation of electricity policy at the Federal and State level. Recognizing the need for strategic grid modernization efforts, DOE established the Grid Tech Team to establish and maintain a long-term vision for the future grid. OE improves the ability of energy sector stakeholders to prevent, prepare for, and respond to threats, hazards, natural disasters, and other supply disruptions. The Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability (OE) supports the Administration’s strategic comprehensive approach to cybersecurity for the grid.
