On October 14, 2010, Northern Pass Transmission, LLC submitted an application for a Presidential Permit to construct a 1,200 MW high voltage direct current ("HVDC") transmission line (the "Application") from the Des Cantons substation in Quebec, to Franklin, New Hampshire (the "Project").
