Elertricity Advisory Committee (EAC) Keeping the Lights on in a New World: The purpose of the report is to address current trends with respect to construction of generation and
transmission; use of demand-side resources and increased efficiency; and plans for meeting future electricity needs that will result in reliable supplies of electricity, at reasonable cost and with due regard for the environment. The report focuses on specific actions the U.S. Department of Energy can take to meet these challenges.
