Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Wyoming Business Council is to facilitate the economic growth of Wyoming.  All of our employees believe in, and support this vision.

The creation of the Wyoming Business Council in 1998 dramatically changed Wyoming's approach to economic development. Unlike the state's previous economic development efforts, this new organization has more of a corporate structure, incorporates private business practices in order to drive programs and has instituted regional offices throughout the state.

The State of Wyoming created the Wyoming Business Council to focus public and private efforts to build a strong job creation base in the new economy with manufacturing and technology as core competencies while strengthening the existing business and industry groups under energy, agriculture, tourism and travel.

Current Open Positions:

Wyoming Products Program Manager

Reports to the Director, Agribusiness

Full time regular position responsible for the promotion and marketing of Wyoming businesses, products and services. Manages the Wyoming First Program, Wyoming product tradeshows and marketing events and the Tradeshow Incentive Grant Program. Responsibilities include assisting members with promotional activities, coordination of promotional material and distribution, tradeshow coordination, research and evaluation of trade venues, maintaining budgets and databases and identifying growth opportunities for Wyoming product promotion.

Requirements: Training and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree plus five years marketing experience. Knowledge of tradeshow environment, retail marketing, market research and computer literacy. Travel required.
