On April 27, OCRA announced a new partnership with the Purdue Center for Regional Development, Ohio State University, US Department of Agriculture – Rural Development and Indiana Economic Development Corporation, to launch the Hometown Business Preservation Initiative. On March 10, Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, who serves as chair of the Indiana Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission, announced a new grant program that will give Main Street communities the opportunity to preserve locations that highlight women’s history across Indiana. Preserving Women’s Legacy Grants will support historic preservation work, public art and other projects that commemorate Indiana women’s history and promote visits to Main Street communities. These projects will provide a lasting legacy of the state’s commemoration of the 100th anniversary of women winning the right to vote. Learn more at IndianaSuffrage100.org. Projects will be announced on August 26, 2020.
