Construction Storm Water General Permit
The South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources is in the process of reissuing the General Permit for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction Activities. The General Permit expired January 31, 2015 and has been administratively continued. The current permit coverage will remain in full force and effect until the Department reissues a new General Permit. To continue your coverage under the reissued General Permit, the Notice of Intent (NOI) Reauthorization form shall be submitted to SDDENR.

To terminate your coverage under the General Permit, the Notice of Termination (NOT) shall be submitted.

What we do:
The primary responsibilities of the Surface Water Program are:

regulate (permit) and monitor discharges of wastewater;

establish surface water quality standards; and
-
conduct routine monitoring of surface water to ensure the state's natural resources are protected.
