Anyone who has a colostomy understands there is a square portion that adheres around the stoma and usually has to be cut to fit. I purchased some surgical scissors and keep them very clean for this purpose. As is typical with men, they always think they can improve upon the process. We got the results back for Sara's upper GI series. Her doctor was concerned that maybe she had a large polyp in her small intestine (where a scope can't reach) that was causing frequent blockages. Read more...

We found out on October 1st that my dad has stage 4 colon cancer and the only option is chemotherapy. Even with treatment, the odds of survival are 5-10%. The cancer has spread to his lungs and liver and the doctors said he only has a few months to live. As a son, I’m lost for words to explain my pain.
