The Emission Measurement Center (EMC) provides information on test methods for measuring pollutants from smokestacks and other industrial sources. This site compiles the test methods available for emission measurement, and EMC staff provide technical assistance in the use and application of the methods.

The Technology Transfer Network Clearinghouse for Inventories & Emissions Factors has information on emissions inventories, modeling, factors, and reporting. The Clearinghouse also has a Monitoring Knowledge Base that contains information about monitoring techniques for air pollution control.
The Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) / Best Available Control Technology (BACT) / Lowest Achievable Emission Rate (LAER) Clearinghouse (RACT/BACT/LAER Clearinghouse (RBLC)) contains case-specific information on the "best available" air pollution technologies that have been required to reduce the emission of air pollutants from stationary sources (e.g., power plants, steel mills, chemical plants, etc.). This information has been provided by State and local permitting agencies. The Clearinghouse also contains a regulation data base that summarizes EPA emission limits required in New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), and Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) standards.
