Intel, Kohl's Lead Corporate Renewable Energy Efforts

July 2011 - Intel and Kohl's ranked highest for 2010 total renewable energy use, according to a new report from Bloomberg New Energy Finance. Intel led the way for total renewable energy use with 1,493 gigawatt-hours (GWh), followed by Kohl's with 1,418 GWh, and CLP Holdings Ltd. ranked third with 953 GWh of renewable energy purchased.

Kohl's topped the rankings for percentage of electricity procured from renewable energy, purchasing 100.4 percent of its electricity needs from renewable sources. Whole Foods ranked second, procuring 100 percent of its electricity from renewable energy, and Toronto-Dominion Bank ranked third with 94.4 percent of the company's electricity demand procured from renewables.
