Frequent Questions

How can I find the treatment technologies for a particular contaminant?

Technologies for cleaning up a particular contaminant at a site can be found in the Record of Decision (ROD), which provides the justification for the remedial action chosen under the Superfund program and stores information on the technologies being used to clean up sites. A copy of the ROD can be obtained by contacting the Regional Community Involvement Coordinator (CIC) for the site, or by visiting the site information repository. The Regional CIC can tell you where the information repositories are located. The EPA provides online access to ROD data through the Records of Decision System (RODS)
