Success Stories

Kansas Conservationist@Work

NRCS provides free technical assistance to help landowners fix their natural resource concerns such as water and wind erosion, pastureland grazing capacity, wetland management, and wildlife preservation.

Financial assistance is also available through a variety of farm bill programs that address natural resource concerns.

All across the state, Kansans are demonstrating outstanding stewardship of their land and strengthening their communities through volunteer work and conservation advocacy. We love sharing their stories to celebrate their achievements and show the wonderful things being done in our state.

Bald Eagle Finds a Home on Dan and Brenda Pace's Wetland Easement

"I wanted to manage for wildlife and still have a measure of grass for the tenant's cattle"...I'm really pleased with the plan". Dan and Brenda Pace live in Kingman County. They tell their story on the rewards of having a wetland easement and how they value their community.
