EPA Update

Interested in learning about anaerobic digestion, brownfields and urban sustainability? Listen to a previously recorded webinar at your convenience and learn about an innovative approach to anaerobic digestion in Chicago, IL. The webinar highlights the past successes and future initiatives of Green Era Educational NFP, an educational organization that connects organic waste, renewable energy and local food production. Using anaerobic digestion (AD), the project diverts organic waste from landfills to produce renewable energy and nutrient-rich soil. This will empower communities in South Chicago to increase organic waste recycling, create renewable energy and expand healthy food production. Speakers for the webinar are Linda Yang of Terracon Consultants, Inc., Jason Feldman of Green Era Educational NFP and Keary Cragan of U.S. EPA, Region 5. Find out more and listen here.
