Every Drop Counts—Help Conserve Georgia's Precious Water

Georgia is in a significant drought, impacting water use, lake levels and environmental health. Please help us conserve water in state parks by turning off all water spigots when not in use, teaching children about the importance of water conservation, and reporting any water leaks to park management. At home, take shorter showers, run dishwashers only when full, use commercial car/boat washes, and observe current water restrictions. To minimize the risk of wildfires, use extreme caution with grills, camp stoves and smoking materials.Soak It In Logo

Join us in celebrating the ways we play in—and depend on—water. From guided paddle trips to stream ecology classes, we’ll get you outside enjoying Georgia’s lakes, rivers and marshes. Throughout 2017, look for events tagged with a water drop.
