Glen Cooney

Glen Cooney has been working on the project since its inception to guide our developmental process and creative vision. He brings his background in serious games through his work at the Emergent Media Center and the strong desire to bring mainstream success to serious games like this one. He has worked closely with the Department of Energy to ensure our game strikes the right balance as an education and recruitment tool with fun gameplay and viral outreach potential.

Katharine Uvick
Designer (May 2012 - Present)

Like many others in the industry, Katharine Uvick has wanted to be a game developer her entire life, desiring to be involved in all the major disciplines within the field due to her varied interests. Luckily, this project gave her the opportunity to contribute to many different areas, including narrative & feedback design, gameplay & database programming, 3D modelling & GUI development, and much more.

Dustin Dano
Designer (December 2012 - Present)

Dustin's background in game development started in 2006 when he first learned how to program.  He graduated from Champlain College in 2011 and has served as both designer and producer on multiple projects.  For Terrachanics, his primary duties include keeping the team accountable, organizing deadlines and milestones, and helping out with level design.

Ryan Vachon
 Level Designer (May 2013 - Present)

Ryan Vachon has always dreamed of building fantastical worlds with intriguing stories and eccentric characters. This fantasy stems from decades of exposure to Legos and Nintendo consoles. These days he has a more practical dream: to make the games that he would want to play. After obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Game Design from Champlain College, he spent some time working on HTML 5 mobile games and educational games. Ryan is currently working on producing a variety of interesting, challenging and thought provoking puzzles for Terrachanics.

Derrick Huey
Programmer (September 2012 - Present)

Derrick Huey is a 2012 graduate of the University of California Santa Cruz's Computer Science: Game Design program, in which he helped design and develop multiple games of different genres. He enjoys all aspects of gameplay programming with a specific interest in artificial intelligence. Derrick has implemented and modified various of the game's mechanics including the unit, linking, and tooltip systems.

Danny Tran
UI Artist (December 2012- Present)

Danny Tran is working towards a BFA degree in Computer Game Design at George Mason University, the fastest growing degree program at Mason. Mr. Tran has worked closely with his peers in creating small games and demos for his education at Mason. In doing so, he has years of experience with working in teams and strangers. Pushed by the requirements of the major, he has developed the ability to work well with others, deliver on deadlines and adapt to new tools quickly.

Craig Landen
3D Artist (December 2012 - Present)

Craig Landen bring  to Terrachanics three years of study in computer game design. He has experience with 3D artwork, including creating models, textures, and animations. In December of 2013, he will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Game Design at George Mason University.

Noelle Hébert
3D and 2D Artist (December 2012 - Present)

Noelle discovered her love for video games as a teenager, falling particularly in love with the beautiful art and amazing stories that can create a unique experience. She instantly joined a few CS classes and 3d Animation classes to learn what it takes to make a game. She has since, graduated from George Mason University with a BFA in Computer Game Design. Since joining the art team forTerrachanics, Noelle has been able to jump around in the art department and contribute concept art, 3d models and some GUI elements.

Jared Mavis
Programmer (June 2012 – October 2013)

Jared Mavis brings to Terrachanics experience in Unity and game programming. He has been working on several systems including UI, Sound, and Controls. Jared is a student at the University of California Santa Cruz graduating in June of 2013 with a BS in Computer Science: Computer Game Design. Jared has been focusing on creating easy to use software.

Robin Clark
3D Artist (May 2012 - August 2013)
Audio Team Lead (February 2013 - August 2013)

Robin Clark is a 3D Artist is his own right. His focus and interest is 3D Graphic Design, 3D Modeling, Character Development, Visual Effects, Texturing, Lighting and Web Design. Robin has in-field experience and attended Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Los Angeles, CA. At Gnomon his focus was with; Visual Effects for Games, Environment Creation for Games, Hard Surfacing 1, and Animation for Games. Robin is a graduate of Springfield College from Springfield, MA., and has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics/Digital Art.

Rebecca Williams
2D Character and Background Artist (December 2012 - January 2014)

Rebecca is a pursuing the Computer Science: Game Design degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz.  As a student, she has helped with the development of several amazing games. Her childhood  passion for art and games inspired her to learn both the technical and artistic skills to making games.  She attributes her improved Photoshop and art skills  to the art team of Terrachanics, who have helped her develop new skills, as well as provide a  professional and enjoyable experience.

Chris Peterson
Programmer (October 2012 - September 2013)

Chris has been designing games since he was a kid, sitting at his kitchen table writing up ideas for game modes within his favorite titles. He has continued this hobby throughout his life, earning a degree in Computer Science: Computer Game Design from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2012. Throughout development of Terrachanics, Chris has worked on implementing desired features as well as providing feedback for certain design decisions.

Craig Ellsworth
Senior Designer (September 2012 - September 2013)

Craig Ellsworth has been designing levels since he was seven, when he first drew a map on paper, and continuing that hobby into a life-long passion, leading him through a degree in Game Design from Champlain College, up to the present moment working on Terrachanics, where he not only designs levels, but has helped in all aspects of design, including concepts, mechanics,and narrative design.

Luke Roberts
Music Composer (January 2013 - November 2013)

Luke Roberts is a musician who has always had a fascination with the interaction between sound and video games. He joins Terrachanics while studying to obtain his BA at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He's working to create a soundtrack that influences and enhances the game.

Kaitlyn McIntosh
Artist (June 2013 – January 2014)

A recent graduate from George Mason University’s Computer Game Design program, game art is Kaitlyn’s passion, as it has been since her family first acquired a SEGA Genesis in the early nineties. Though she has joined the project with the DOE towards the finishing end of it, she is happy to have been able to exercise her skills working on existing 3D models and creating new 2D work for the game’s narrative. She looks forward greatly to the successful release of her first post-grad game.

Gina El-Reedy
Designer (February 2013 - August 2013)

Gina has loved video games since she was about six years old. She loved immersing herself into the stories and enjoying new adventures. She is currently working towards her Computer Game Design BFA as well as a minor in Information Technology. Gina has worked as a level designer, writer, and has worked on trailers, and other promotional materials, for Terrachanics.
