Navy Announces Release of Blue Angels Flight App
By Chief of Naval Air Training Public Affairs - July 12, 2016
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (NNS) -- The U.S. Navy has approved and issued a trademark license to Italian gaming company RORTOS for its development of a Blue Angels flight simulation game to be released July 15.

The Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) is the delegated authority to supervise, administer, license and control trademark functions related to Naval Aviation activities, to include the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels.

Through months of discussion between RORTOS, the CNATRA Trademark Counsel, the Office of Naval Research and members of the Blue Angels team, an agreement was reached to provide a 3-year license to RORTOS for its use of the Blue Angels trademarks.

The Navy determined that permitting use of the Blue Angels likeness for this flight simulation game is consistent with the goals of the Navy's Trademark Licensing Program, specifically to stimulate interest in, and enhance the image and reputation of the Navy, and that it will also strengthen and protect the Navy's trademark rights.
