On Wednesday, December 3, 2014, the Office of Environmental Management (EM) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) will host a press call to discuss the Department’s plans for transitioning management and oversight of the legacy environmental cleanup work at Los Alamos National Laboratory from NNSA to EM.

The Energy Department’s Office of Energy Policy and Systems Analysis will host a public meeting in New York City, on Monday, October 6, to receive stakeholder input to the Quadrennial Energy Review (QER), an administration-wide effort to make recommendations regarding key infrastructure needed for the transmission, storage and distribution of energy.

On Wednesday, October 1, 2014, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz will kick off Energy Action Month and mark the 37th anniversary of the Department’s formal opening by hosting the first Schlesinger Medal Ceremony and Symposium on Energy Security.

On Tuesday, Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz will join Senator Dick Durbin and Senator Jim Risch for the Department’s National Lab Day on the Hill. Lab Directors and representatives from all 17 of the Department of Energy National Laboratories will be on hand to showcase demonstration projects across five theme areas – energy innovation and environmental sustainability, manufacturing innovations, high performance computing, national security, and discovery science.
