How BPA Supports Efficient Lighting
BPA is a key player in the region, developing and maintaining energy efficiency measures that meet total resource cost effectiveness. BPA works with the Regional Technical Forum to ensure that lighting savings has the most accurate inputs and is appropriately assessing the impacts of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA).
In addition, BPA provides regional coordination of the promotion
Simple Steps, Smart Savingsā¢ in collaboration with northwest public and investor-owned utilities.
The Simple Steps, Smart Savings program, currently implemented by CLEAResult, provides regional coordination for retail promotion of CFLs, LEDs, lighting fixtures, showerheads, TSVs, and advanced power strips. The program also includes delivery options for direct install, direct mail and bulk purchase to assist NW utilities with program delivery.
Utilities may participate by either signing a contract directly with CLEAResult or by allocating ECA funds to the program through BPA. The first step is to contact CLEAResult to determine your sales projections. Contact Ryan Crews at CLEAResult at (503) 688-1569, for details and options.
Please note: BPA does not provide incentives directly to homeowners. Please contact your local utility.
