Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) is recognized throughout the world for its sustainability practices and has been named one of the 'Top Water Wise Communities' in the U.S. and a 'Utility of the Future Today' by industry peers. Our mission is to provide quality water and quality services to our community. As the county's one-stop-shop for water, sewer and stormwater services, our water professionals provide quality services to 78,500 customer accounts. CCWA has five raw water reservoirs and can produce up to 42 million gallons per day of potable water and treat up to 38.4 million gallons of wastewater every day. Plus, CCWA staff maintains approximately 1,500 miles of water distribution pipes, 1,300 miles of sewer conveyance pipes and 500 miles of stormwater infrastructure. CCWA is one of the few metropolitan water utilities in the country utilizing constructed treatment wetlands to recharge its water supply. This, along with our innovative leak detection program and other practices, garners industry attention throughout the U.S., and the world, as peers look to CCWA to learn more about our sustainability practices.
