COACHES: To register for the 2015 competition, please visit this site on or after October 1, 2014 and complete an Intent to Compete form. Spaces for 64 teams will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Second and third teams from the same school will be placed on a space available basis. Spaces fill quickly, and registration will close on November 15, 2014.
Coaches will be contacted the week of Nov. 18 to confirm their team’s participation, let you know if we are able to accommodate second/third teams, and give you instructions on how to register each student on the National Science Bowl website. Note: Please DO NOT register your team on the National Science Bowl site until you hear from us to confirm your teams.
In the mean time you can begin practicing with your teams! Check the links at the right for helpful information, sample questions, and instructions for our exciting new Science Bowl video contest, SciClips.
NOTE: National Science Bowl rules state that all teams must be school-based. An exception is granted for club teams that participated in the 2013 and 2014 competitions. However, no new club teams may register for the 2015 competition. Clubs should work with their local schools to form a Science Bowl team. Check the National Science Bowl rules for further details.
Middle schools from counties in western and central Oregon and Washington State west of the Cascades, and high schools in counties in western and central Oregon, southwest Washington and the Olympic Peninsula, are eligible to compete in the BPA Regional Science Bowl.
