Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel
Arlington, Virginia

In February 2017, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Wind Energy Technologies Office and DOE’s Water Power Technologies Office will hold their respective Peer Review Meetings in Arlington, Virginia. The purpose of the meetings will be to evaluate DOE-funded wind energy and water power research and development projects for contributions to DOE’s mission and goals, and to assess progress made against stated objectives. In addition to the formal review, this event will be an excellent opportunity for the wind energy and water power communities to share ideas and solutions to address challenges and opportunities for their respective industries. The two peer reviews are separate events, but are being co-located to encourage interaction among energy researchers.

The objectives of the peer review meetings are to:

  • Review and evaluate the respective strategies and goals of DOE’s Wind Energy Technologies and Water Power Technologies programs
  • Review and evaluate the progress and accomplishments of wind energy and water power research and development projects funded by the DOE in Fiscal Year 2014 through Fiscal Year 2016
  • Foster interactions among industry, DOE's national laboratories, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations conducting research and development on behalf of the two offices.

We hope you will join us for this exciting and innovative review! Register for the event.
