NNSA Administrator: Veterans have the skills & experience we need for mission

Last week, NNSA Administrator Gen. Frank G. Klotz (Ret.) spoke with Department of Energy (DOE) veteran employees as part of a VET Success workshop offered by the DOE National Training Center.

The workshop is a part of DOE’s efforts to provide veterans with the best possible opportunity to contribute to the DOE mission—a program developed “by veterans for veterans.”

Marine Corps Colonel Russell Smith (Ret.) thanks Klotz on behalf of the VET-Success Development Team for his participation in the workshop and for his support and mentorship to veterans.

DOE expects a significant number of employees to retire in the next 5 years and anticipates that about a third of its new hires will be military veterans. Through VET Success and other programs, DOE provides resources to these new employees to help them succeed in their new roles.
