BRAC Mission

The Department of the Navy (DON) Base Realignment and Closure Program Management Office's (BRAC PMO) mission is to expeditiously and cost effectively provide all services necessary to realign, close, and dispose of DON BRAC properties through sound business management practices and transformational thinking to support the war fighter and provide savings to DON and the federal taxpayer.

 

Who We Are

The Department of the Navy Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for:

  • Serving as the primary liaison with local communities and redevelopment authorities;
  • Overseeing all base closure, realignment, and care taker activities;
  • Developing and implementing plans, priorities, and procedures for base disposals and their associated environmental cleanups;



Organization

The Department of the Navy BRAC PMO is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC). BRAC workload is organized under two regional offices and a support office. - PMO West, East, and Support.
