Engelhard selected AVS executive committee member

AVS Science and Technology Society membership has elected EMSL senior scientist Mark Engelhard an executive committee member at large for the Applied Surface Science Division. His three-year term starts in 2017.

AVS' Applied Surface Science Division provides a forum for research and education in the preparation, characterization, modification, and utilization of surfaces and interfaces in practical applications.

Named an AVS Fellow in 2013, Engelhard specializes in interface spectroscopy and diffraction to study surface and interphase chemistry.

AVS is an interdisciplinary, professional society that supports networking among academic, industrial, government, and consulting professionals involved in a variety of disciplines related to materials, interfaces and processing.
