The NNSA’s nuclear security enterprise spans eight sites, including three national laboratories, with more than six decades of cutting-edge nuclear security experience. That history and technical expertise enables NNSA to accomplish its work across its four mission areas.

NNSA has established a system where federally-run site offices oversee the Management & Operating contractors for each of NNSA's eight sites. These site offices provide the necessary communication between federal and contractor employees as well as oversight to improve management procedures.
