Come visit us in the southeastern corner of Washington state. We're a respected science community and growing metropolis at the north end of historic Richland, Washington, alongside the Columbia River.
Getting here
You can fly directly into the Tri-Cities Airport (PSC). Or we're only a few hours by car from Seattle; Portland, Oregon; or Boise, Idaho.
From the airport
To get to PNNL from the Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco, exit south from the airport parking area until you reach Interstate 182 (.3 miles), then travel west toward Richland (7.6 miles). If you would like to travel through town on your way to the PNNL, take the George Washington Way exit (Exit 5B) immediately after crossing the Columbia River. Continue north on George Washington Way for 10.5 miles, then turn left onto Battelle Boulevard.
You may also take the Wellsian Way/Vantage Highway 240 (Exit 4) onto the Bypass Highway (12.4 miles). This eventually becomes Stevens Drive. Continue on Stevens Drive then take a right onto Battelle Boulevard.

We use a lot of abbreviations and our campus can feel a little bit like alphabet soup. This map will help you orient yourself. Our campus is open, but you will need a badge to enter buildings. Your host will give you directions on where to go for your badge.
US citizens
To receive a badge, US citizens invited to visit our campus need to bring a valid photo ID.
State driver’s licenses and identification cards must meet REAL-ID ACT OF 2005 standards established by the US Department of Homeland Security.
Visitors with state licenses or identification cards that do not comply with REAL ID standards will be permitted access to facilities only when escorted by one of our employees.
Foreign nationals
All non-U.S. citizens must present sufficient immigration documentation for each visit to PNNL. Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR) of the United States must provide a valid LPR card or evidence of lawful status if waiting for an LPR card to be issued. Non-US citizens who are not LPRs must provide valid passports and visa documentation, including I-94 Departure Record or applicable admission stamp in passport.

Spending the night? You can make a reservation at our on-campus Guest House or at one of these convenient, nearby area hotels.
Things to do
We have great weather. It's perfect for golfing and growing wine grapes. And we're right on the water. Locals and visitors enjoy hiking, touring museums, attending community and visiting performances, and sampling one of our 300 restaurants.
