  This study summarizes the economic contribution that came from Oregon commercial fishing industry in 2007 and 2008, and discusses what is known about the industry in 2009. Descriptions include the total volume and value of landings made in Oregon during this period and the associated economic contribution generated by distant water fisheries.

• Pacific Fishery Management Council
  
  The Pacific Council is one of eight regional fishery management councils established under the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act of 1976. The Pacific Council has developed fishery management plans for salmon, groundfish and coastal pelagic species in the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) off the coasts of Washington, Oregon and California.
