  • WindFloat Pacific - Offshore Wind Pilot Project - BOEM is no longer processing this lease request.
  • Pacific Marine Energy Center – South Energy Test Site (PMEC-SETS) Research Facility Project
  • Regional Collaboration: As part of the West Coast Governors Alliance (WCGA) on Ocean Health, a regional ocean partnership, Washington, Oregon and California have agreed to collaborate with BOEM, Department of Energy, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and other agencies to evaluate the potential benefits and impacts of renewable ocean energy projects off the West Coast. An additional goal is to develop the planning and regulatory structure for these activities. 

Public Engagement

BOEM coordinates Outer Continental Shelf renewable energy activities with its federal, state, local, and tribal government partners through the Oregon Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force. BOEM also coordinates public information meetings to help keep interested stakeholders updated on major renewable energy milestones.
