Law is a member of the Operations Committee for the Society for Science at User Research Facilities (SSURF). SSURF's mission is to advance the science performed at user research facilities by 1) supporting their professional communities and research networks through the sharing of best practices and facilitation of professional development, and 2) promoting public awareness about the benefits and significance of the facilities and their research. SSURF grew from a grass-roots organization of administrators for user facilities to a not-for-profit professional society dedicated to providing a platform for communities of practice, including User Executive Committee chairs, user research facility directors and managers, communications managers and writers, government affairs liaisons, scientific society representatives, and individual researchers.  As a member, Law frequently engages with National User Facility directors and managers to benchmark and share best practices and to advance policy changes at the programmatic and national levels that benefit the communities of expertise that are active at the National User Facilities.
