Wildlife Restoration Program - Funding
Excise taxes on firearms, ammunitions, archery equipment and arrow components are collected and appropriated from the Wildlife Restoration Account to provide grant funds for the Wildlife Restoration Program. The funds are made available to states and insular areas through financial assistance grants. The amount of funding available is based on an apportionment formula.
