This web service contains the following map layers: masks and labels for EPA regions 1 through 10. Mask layers are drawn at all scales. Label layers draw at scales greater than 1:12.5 million. Data used to create this web service are available as a separate download at the Secondary Linkage listed above. Full FGDC metadata […]
Category: API.
An application programming interface (API) is a set of data structures, protocols, routines and tools for accessing a Web-based software application. For more information on how the government is using APIs, please go to HowTo.gov.
Envirofacts integrates information from a variety of EPA’s environmental databases. Each of these databases contains information about facilities that are required to report activity to a state or federal system. Using this API, you can retrieve information about hazardous waste (including the Biennial Report), toxic and air releases, Superfund sites, and water discharge permits, plus […]
This map illustrates the facilities that reported to the Toxics Release Inventory Program (TRI) in reporting year 2011 and the pounds per year of TRI-listed chemicals released, or disposed of, on land at the facility location. Disposal categories illustrated on the map include: Underground Injection Class I wells (Section 5.4.1). Disposal in Class I wells […]
This dataset describes dissolved oxygen levels in the Gulf of Mexico. Individual sampling sites are represented by point data. The background polygon shows areas where the dissolved oxygen concentration is less than 2.0 milligrams per liter. The data were collected during the summer of 2014 by the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON).
Point data of collection sites overlayed on raster of hypoxia water data. The raster is broken out into 5 color-coded categories of oxygen level. This map is an updated version of the graphic found on page 130 of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Report on the Environment – 2008 (EPAROE_Final_2008.pdf). The Exhibit corresponding to this map […]
The Smart Location Database (SLD) summarizes over 80 demographic, built environment, transit service, and destination accessibility attributes for every census block group in the United States. Future updates to the SLD will include additional attributes which summarize the relative location efficiency of a block group when compared to other block groups within the same metropolitan […]
This map illustrates the facilities that reported to the Toxics Release Inventory Program (TRI) in reporting year 2011 and the pounds per year of TRI-listed chemicals released to air. Air emissions shown here include fugitive and point source air emissions:
This mapping service summarizes the total number of jobs that can be reached within 30 minutes by transit. EPA modeled accessibility via transit by calculating total travel time between block group centroids inclusive of walking to/from transit stops, wait times, and transfers. Block groups that can be accessed in 30 minutes or less from the […]
The NEPmap is designed to provide information in context with National Estuary Program Study Areas. There are 28 National Estuary Programs (NEPs) in the U.S.that implement habitat protection and restoration projects with their partners and submit their project data to the EPA annually. NEPmap contains that project data from 2009 to the present.
This downloadable data package shows information on enforcement actions and cases from 2012. They include civil enforcement actions taken by EPA at facilities, criminal cases prosecuted by EPA under federal statutes and the U.S. Criminal Code, and cases in which EPA provided significant support to cases prosecuted under state criminal laws.
