Jetta Wong joined the Department of Energy in July of 2012. Before joining the Department of Energy Jetta worked for the United States House of Representatives' Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. She worked on a wide range of energy and environment policy issues related to civilian research, development and demonstration programs at the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Rochelle Blaustein is the senior member of OTT’s career staff, serving as Deputy Director. She brings to OTT a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of policies that can foster technology transfer and increase commercialization. Her extensive experience bringing together diverse stakeholders has led to the rethinking, development and implementation of ground-breaking strategies to grow innovative ideas.
Dr. Sanjiv Malhotra has served as the Director of the Clean Energy Investment Center since January 2016. The center was announced in 2015 as part of the Obama Administration’s Clean Energy Investment Initiative to advance private, mission-oriented investment in clean energy technologies that address the present gap in U.S. clean tech investment. The center helps enhance the availability of DOE’s resources to private sector investors and potential partners in the public.
Randy Abreu joined the Department of Energy in August of 2016. Always one to be curious about the positive impact of technology innovation on society, Randy is excited to serve as Special Advisor to the Clean Energy Investment Center (CEIC). Prior to joining CEIC, Randy was a Law Fellow with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute where he worked on the House Judiciary Committee and the Federal Communications Commission. As a Law Fellow, he worked on a wide range of issues related to data privacy, cross-border data trading, patent reform, digital tax laws, and cybersecurity.

A senior technology executive, Robert currently serves as Senior Program Analyst, for the Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) where he helps accelerate the commercialization of energy solutions. Prior to joining OTT, Rob served four years as the Chief Technology Officer for the Office of Energy Efficiency at the Department of Energy. He seeks to establish strong enterprise IT solutions that establish efficient, agile, and robust information infrastructures.
Sherry Gelfand is currently employed by Chickasaw Advisory Services, LLC as a contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy. She serves as the Executive Assistant to the Office of Technology Transitions. She also worked for SRA International as a contractor to DOE, supporting Strategic Programs, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
Donald Macdonald has spent the past 24 years working for the Department of Energy in a variety of roles. Prior to his service with the DOE he spent three years on the staff of a U.S. Senator and has worked in the private sector.
Charles Russomanno is Senior Technology Advisor for the Office of the Under Secretary of Science and Energy (S-4). In this capacity he has been integral to conceptualizing, defining, and communicating the mission and function of the new Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) for the Department.
Michael joined the Office of Technology Transitions in January of 2016, where he currently serves as a research analyst for the office's strategic projects and data analysis teams. Prior to his graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015, Michael served in DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, where he helped lay the foundation for the DOE Small Business Vouchers Pilot program.
Mr. Woomer, or "Dan" to his friends and colleagues, joined the Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) in May 2015. Dan oversees the business operation side of the office, which includes budget, finance, human resources, procurement, and logistics.
