Notes from the Chief

In observance of Christmas, Cherokee Nation tribal headquarters and all sub-offices will be closed Friday, December 23 thru Monday, December 26.  All offices will open for business at 8:00am Tuesday, December 27. Emergency services will be available to the public during this time.

The Cherokee Nation is now issuing photo tribal citizenship cards. Cherokee citizens can visit the tribe’s registration department to get a valid photo ID, similar in appearance to a driver’s license.
