Unmanned System Common Control System (CCS)

The Unmanned System CCS mission is to eliminate redundant efforts, encourage innovation and reduce costs.

In coordination with Navy unmanned platforms, CCS has a common framework, user interface and components that can be integrated and tested on a variety of emerging or legacy platforms.

The Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike (UCLASS) program will be the first platform to integrate CCS from inception.

CCS will leverage existing government-owned products, as well as competitive procurements, to support the UCLASS program and MQ-4C Triton UAS. MQ-8 Fire Scout and other unmanned systems will transition as funding and schedule permit. 

CCS will provide an open software architecture that is agile and scalable to support evolving requirements. CCS will provide unmanned vehicles with primary mission control, mission planning, dynamic airspace, external messaging and communication, sensor product payload (Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED)), support services, infrastructure/governance and a decoupled presentation layer.
