DISA Releases Cloud Connection Process Guide
By CHIPS Magazine - January 29, 2016
The Defense Information Systems Agency issued the Cloud Connection Process Guide (CCPG) this month to help Defense Department components and cloud service providers in navigating DoD’s assessment and connection processes and to obtain a DoD provisional authorization (PA) and cloud approval to connect (CATC). It provides guidance for mission owners to use DoD-approved cloud service offerings (CSOs).

The guidance describes the process of connecting commercial offerings through the DISA provided cloud access point (CAP). It ensures the cloud security requirements have been implemented before a cloud approval to connect is granted, and describes the process of registering DoD cloud usage in the System/Network Approval Process (SNAP), the centralized repository for DoD cloud connections.

The Cloud Connection Process Guide is available from the DISA website.
