The ACGIH has adopted the following provisions from their Notice of Intended Change for beryllium: - TLV-TWA of 0.05 micrograms per cubic meter - Skin and SEN notations - A1 carcinogenicity classification

This serves as official notification that the Spring 2009 meeting of the Beryllium Health and Safety Committee (BHSC) will be held on April 1-2, 2009 (Wednesday-Thursday) at DOEs Savannah River Site (SRS), Aiken, SC. Meetings of the BHSC Board and the US/UK Joint Working Group (JOWOG) 30-1-1 will be held on March 31, 2009 (Tuesday), also at SRS. A phone-in number for those who cannot attend in person will be made available, but video conferencing will not be available.
As with the spring 2008 meeting, organizers are soliciting speakers for 15-minute oral presentations. If you or a colleague would be interested, please see the attached call for papers for abstract submission details. Abstracts are due no later than February 12, 2009.
