Justification Memo for the Continued Collection of the SSN

The continued collection of Social Security numbers by existing information technology systems and collection by new IT systems must be justified.
The blank memo below should be used to provide this justification. The justification memo must be signed by a flag officer, SES or individual with by direction signature authority. Once signed it should be uploaded to the document section of the Department of Defense Information Technology Portfolio Repository-Department of the Navy (DITPR-DON) for the associated IT system.
