The Department of the Navy Chief Information Officer has released a memorandum designating the DON Principal Deputy CIO as the DON Senior Information Assurance Officer (SIAO).
The DON SIAO responsibilities include facilitating alignment and consistent application of information management, information technology, and information assurance policies, processes, responsibilities, and procedures across the Department. The DON SIAO also provides oversight and ensures maintenance of network security throughout DON networks.
