Master's and Doctorate Level Scholarships Available to DON Personnel

Scholarships are being offered for Department of the Navy civilian and military personnel through the Department of Defense Information Assurance Scholarship Program to meet the increasing demand for cyber/information technology professionals with a cybersecurity/information assurance (CS/IA) focus. These scholarships for master's and doctorate level work cover the cost of tuition, fees, and books. They can be used for degrees in Biometrics, Computer Science, Computer Crime Investigation, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Cyber Operations, Digital and Multimedia Forensics, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Management or Administration, and other areas with a CS/IA concentration.

DON civilian and military members may apply for IA scholarships through their service chain-of-command to the DON CIO. View detailed instructions on the scholarship nomination process.

The Naval Postgraduate School and the Air Force Institute of Technology offer full-time programs leading to a master’s or doctorate degree. The National Defense University Information Resources Management College, in cooperation with partner universities located throughout the United States offers full-time and part-time programs. Many of the partner universities offer complete degrees via distance learning. Online degree programs are a great opportunity for personnel to continue to work full-time and earn their degree during off hours.
