A Message from Assistant Dean James

Valerie James

Pursuing your law degree is a very important decision, and we are thrilled that you are considering our law school for your legal studies.  At UNT Dallas College of Law, we are dedicated to student learning and achievement so that we prepare you for the successful practice of law.  We believe in making legal education innovative and affordable and offering it in a dynamic location—in downtown Dallas in the heart of the legal and business community.

We will enroll a fall class with a full-time section of approximately 80 students and a part-time evening section of approximately 45 students.   We seek a diverse student body—one demonstrating the varied backgrounds and exceptional talents of our community and one possessing a dedication to service and leadership.  Every applicant is important at UNT Dallas College of Law, and we will take a holistic approach to admissions.  Thus, admission decisions will assess the strength of your application credentials as a whole and not focus solely on your LSAT score and undergraduate GPA.

It is our hope that you will envision yourself among our students in the future.

Truly,

Valerie D. James
Assistant Dean of Admissions and Scholarships
