Jamie Adams starts his 10th year with the North Texas athletics department and his second as the assistant athletic director for marketing and promotions.
Adams came to North Texas from the Alabama Sports Festival where he was the assistant director of sports operations and marketing. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Belhaven College in 1999 where he played basketball. He went on to receive his master's degree in sports management from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2002 where he served as a graduate assistant in facilities and event management.
At North Texas, Adams is responsible for the development of promotional plans for all 16 Mean Green athletic programs. In addition, he developed, coordinated and implemented individual game promotions for football and men's basketball, while helping to oversee efforts for women's basketball, women's soccer, softball, women's tennis, swimming and diving and volleyball. Adams also assists North Texas in hosting Sun Belt Conference championships.
Adams is active on campus in integrating the North Texas faculty with athletics. He serves on various committees on campus and is the staff advisor for Theta Chi Fraternity and the Talons, which is the official Spirit Group at North Texas.
Adams is married to the former Sarah Lindberg, a University of North Texas alum.
