OUR MISSION

At the heart of our mission are five key goals that guide our culture, our curriculum, our admissions criteria, our tuition, and every other aspect of providing an excellent legal education for our students – from student success programs to the choices we make for faculty and classroom learning technology.

All of us at the College of Law are excited about our mission of affording access to an affordable legal education for qualified students, with an educational program that is designed in light of practice-related objectives and that follows best educational practices.

What does this mean for prospective students?

  • It means many advantages, including the opportunity to attend law school in the heart of Dallas, part of the thriving DFW Metroplex that is home to the second highest concentration of Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies in the United States as well as more than 6 million residents and many communities to serve.
Our presence in downtown Dallas places us close to the courts, to the Dallas Bar Association, and to outstanding lawyers. Our students gain by proximity to experienced members of the profession, and from a full range of experiential education programming.
  • It means being taught by professors with deep career experience as practicing lawyers using proven educational best practices adapted to law school curriculum design, student assessment, and student success programs.
  • It means tuition rates that make law school available to students in our region who could not otherwise afford a legal education without leaving the region, and affordable to professionals who want to earn their legal education in the part-time evening division.
