North Texas Tennis Has Strong Finish
DENTON, Texas (9/16/07) ? North Texas Tennis finished out the Mean Green Invitational today with an overall record of 22-18.
Individual victories went to Narine Kasarova with an overall mark of 3-1, Rachel Wilhelm with an overall record of 2-0 and Catalina Cruz with an overall mark of 2-0.
“Coach Lama and I are proud of our start,” said assistant coach Jeff Maren. “We had a very successful tournament and had more highs than lows. The lows that we had are a perfect learning experience for the fall and we feel that the best is yet to come.”
The Mean Green finished off the doubles with the teams of Ashley Akin and Idalina Franca leaving with and overall mark of 3-1, Cruz and Wilhelm finishing with an overall record of 2-1, and Shannon McKenzie and Kasarova leaving with an overall mark of 2-1.
