No. 73 Mean Green Hosts SBC Rival Denver at 3 p.m.

-DENTON, Texas (4/2/10) - The No. 73 North Texas tennis team continues its April home stand Friday afternoon with Sun Belt Conference opponent Denver at the Waranch Tennis Complex at 3 p.m.

The Mean Green (9-5) is currently riding a three-match winning streak and a carrying a 4-0 home record into the showdown with the Pioneers (6-12), who have never lost to North Texas (8-0).

"The key for us is to continue focusing on improving and build our confidence," said head coach Sujay Lama. "The last four matches have been outstanding in terms of how we have managed our mental game. We've got to keep that up and be ready to battle for every point."

Senior Catalina Cruz is looking to expand her team-leading singles record to 9-4, just in front of sophomore Paula Dinuta who with a win will be at 10-5

The Mean Green will be featuring an Easter Egg hunt for any children in attendance and will also have a bounce house on hand for before the match and in between singles and doubles.

Admission, as always, is free of charge.

North Texas will return to the Waranch Tennis Complex Sunday afternoon at noon when Louisville comes to town for an Easter Sunday showdown.
