DENTON, Texas- North Texas swimming and diving jumped into CollegeSwimming.com / CSCAA Mid-Major Poll, ranking 12th nationally among mid-major programs. This is North Texas' first apperance in the rankings this season.

The Mid-Major rankings use an objective point system to compare teams' relative strength in a traditional dual meet lineup as submitted by participating teams. The ranking is available to those institutions that a) are not members of a BCS conference or Mountain West Conference, or b) provide fewer than one-half of the allowable scholarships under the NCAA rules. Teams must have submitted entries within the first two polling periods to be eligible for the final ranking.

North Texas' conference rivals Denver and Western Kentucky rank 4th and 7th respectively.

North Texas takes on Texas A&M at the Pohl Recreation Center on Friday, January 7th, with the start time now at 2 p.m.
