I can't believe how difficult this process has been. Since my transfer orientation I have been trying to get my parking pass for the semester, I was told it's easy and all you have to do is go online, pay and print it out, and you're ready to go. This goes for everyone..unless you're new! If that's the case, they don't even upload you to the system, and make you come in person to get your pass, which is fine and dandy except I live an hour away and work full time. After talki...ng with the transportation department almost daily 'being reassured to just wait to get uploaded to the system it should be any time..it's now been over a week,' I decided to go in and get my pass on Thursday, the 4th day of classes this semester. I was told that they are completely out of passes already, and when I asked about trying to handle this for the past 2 weeks I was essentially told it sucks to be me. I since found out that there are 2 alternative options! Phew, what a relief, the new parking garage looks awesome and even though expensive I decided to pony up and make it happen, except they are out of passes for that too. Now the literal only remaining option is to take a shuttle which has me traumatized without even using it because way too many of my classmates in only the second week of classes stroll into class 15-20 minutes late complaining about how it took them 5+ shuttles to get onto campus. So now my only option is to pay money to be late to class, or start my commute 2 and a half hours before class. As wonderful and beautiful as the campus is, as engaging as the professors are, as genuinely great an education I can tell this University provides, this single area is enough to frustrate someone to the point of wandering if this is where a student should heavily invest into the remainder of their education.

Some of the best years of my life was spent in Denton, TX, while studying in the University of North Texas. I vividly remember the old Student Union and the pool hall, Willis Library, College of Business Administration and the Eagles Stadium (Mean Jo Green). The Fry Street "Flying Tomatoes", where we spent many weekend evenings and of course the famous Fry Street Fair. We would go to "Voertman's" for photocopies! And who can forget the 3 taco deals for 99 cents at Taco Bell right around the corner! Its a great college city. I would highly recommend the UNT experience for aspiring Bangladeshi students.

Hey guys, I'm looking for someone to take over my lease for Spring 2017 @ The Ridge. I will be at nursing school and will not be able to stay around. My lease is 4x2 (4 rooms and 2 bathrooms) and only $475/month, with all bills paid except the water and electricity (cap is $25) but if you go over, the expense will be split among your roommates. I have three great female roommates and the apartment is on the third floor. Perfect commute for TWU/UNT students. (even has a free UNT shuttle) Message me for more info if interested!

My favorite place to be <3 I may have just transfered this semester but I'm already in love with UNT. I've recycled more than ever before (thanks to all of the options)! I love how beautiful the campus is and all the awesome things that go on every day. The rec center is amazing and the newer buildings are really nice! My only critiques are that there needs to be more parking available and the Physics building desk/chairs are simply horrible for left handed or plus sized people. Also I think the lab equipment could be updated. Other than those concerns I'm pretty much loving my campus even when I'm huffing up a hill in 90 degree heat!

I attended UNT from August 2006-August 2011 and spent some of the best years of my life there. I do agree that the parking has always been atrocious, but when you've made memories like mine it just doesn't seem to matter! If I had to do my undergrad all over again I would choose UNT every time.

ISO a roommate. Denton: I have an extra bedroom and bathroom in my house that I want to rent out. Available now. Walking distance to bus stop, quite neighborhood, fenced backyard, covered back patio. Prefer non smoker or outside smoker. No pets just because I have a cat that doesn't do well with other animals. Students or young couple ok. $550 a month plus 1/2 of utilities. Message me for more information.

DO NOT !! Buy any products from the Mainframe on the UNT campus. Before I bought my mac book air last week, I asked them if they were an Apple Store . They told me that they were. I proceeded with buying my Mac book, because they told me that they were. Although I did open my Mac book in store to set up my account, I didn't really take it out of the box to start using it until Friday.. which was 3 days later after I purchased it. I noticed every slight touch kept having a cra...cking sound. I took it back today, they verified my issue but they told me that they could not fix it nor could I return it or exchange it for a new one, because they are not a "real" Apple Store. And also because they don't have a technician on staff yet to do it... And of course they also said that it was because of UNT policies. I had to drive all the way to south lake shopping center to the Mac store to get my problem fixed. They were very nice and accommodated me for my troubles. Bottom line, do not waste your time and money at the Mainframe store.. It is not a real Apple Store and if you ever need help or have a problem you're basically SOL with them .. Because they can't and won't help you.
Even the Apple Store in SouthLake recommended to not buy from them. They know nothing about Apple policies or products.. And they have horrible customer service.

Not worth it. You'll be paying high-end tuition and fees for a low-end education. That school will rip you off with no reason or explanation. The offices are less organized than any average middle school. They lose important documents and files like crazy and they abruptly bring back fees that were already paid off. Most of the professors (not all) don't know how to teach the material; they're unclear on directions, they don't answer questions well, and they grade unfairly and unreasonably.

Additionally, the police that patrol the area will find any reason to put you in handcuffs. Even if you're not breaking any laws in the slightest. They will lie on their police reports and make your academic year more Hell than it already is.

Parking is terrible there for the freshman. We have written letters only to be told this is not my department. Now we are just being ignored. Its time to call a TV station. The freshmen are constantly have to move there cars. Someone will have to get hurt before it is looked. Students are minoring in valet.

There's something that is pretty shady about this university. It is listed on the website that it is transfer friendly, but yet doesn't provide any transfer scholarships to transfer students coming in the Spring semester. Also, they do not offer any learning communities for transfer students. Before I was pretty naive about being interested about attending here until I did an extensive research on the school and found a lot of negatives and bare minimum positives. Oh and when I applied they ranked me a senior which would be good thing for me, since I am a junior.
