Why study at UNT Dallas?

UNT Dallas has pioneered one of the first undergraduate majors in Public Health in north Texas.  This innovative and multidisciplinary degree brings together excellent faculty in public health, psychology, sociology, and environmental science.  It offers our students the opportunity to focus in one of four emphasis areas:  health science; behavioral and community health; diversity, ethics, and global health; and health promotion and programs.  All Public Health students also complete a capstone course that offers internships and other applied, experiential opportunities to build a professional network throughout the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.

How likely am I to get a job after graduation?

The public health sector is one of the fastest growing in the nation.  The U.S. Department of Labor and Statistics predicts that job growth will be faster than the national average for health educators, environmental scientists, health specialists, and medical and health services specialists.  Data from the Texas Workforce Commission indicates an even greater rate of growth in the public health sector in Texas, as compared to the rest of the nation.
