The Office of Career and Professional Development oversees the College of Law’s services and programs relating to career and professional development. In addition, because the curriculum is structured to develop practice-related competencies, the Office of Career and Professional Development collaborates with faculty on curricular and co-curricular programs that develop students’ understanding of their own skills and interests, the operational aspects of practicing law, the changing marketplace for legal services, and the range of practice pathways.
In order to take all necessary steps to provide a legal education program that will qualify for approval by the American Bar Association (“ABA”), the Office of Career and Professional Development will maintain consistent contact with students to gather data to meet the ABA’s standards and procedures regarding law graduate employment data. 2013 Law Graduate Employment Data can be found on the ABA website.
