Biography
Since August 2015, Seock-Jin Hong has been an assistant Professor at University of North Texas (UNT), Texas. Prior to joining UNT, Dr. Hong was a Professor at Kedge Business School in Bordeaux, France and was an Associate Professor at Incheon National University, Korea from 2004 to 2015. Dr. Hong was a Research associate at the air transport department of the Korea Transport Institute (KOTI) and an Assistant general manager in Korean Airlines in Seoul from 1988 to 2004. Dr. Hong has a Ph.D. degree from the University of Toulouse 1, France in addition to a Master degree (DEA) of Transport Economics from Ecole National des Ponts et Chausées in Paris, France. His research interests include air transport and cargo; supply chain and transport; risk managements; and lean management. His papers have appeared in various journals such as Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal, World Review of Intermodal Transportation Research, Transport Policy Studies, International Journal of Electronic Customer Relationship Management and etc. He serves as a referee for Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal, World Review of Intermodal Transportation Research, Journal of Air Transport Management, Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies and etc.
